Brentford Boss Confident Ivan Toney Will Stay Amid Transfer Speculation

In a world filled with uncertainty, Brentford boss Thomas Frank remains resolute in his belief that striker Ivan Toney will continue to don the red and white of Brentford amidst growing transfer speculation. The London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea might be casting their eyes on the talented forward, but Frank is not willing to let him go without an “unbelievable” offer.

Despite a betting ban hanging over his head, there’s hope that Toney could make a triumphant return against Nottingham Forest on January 20th. When asked about the possibility of parting ways with their star player during this transfer window, Frank confidently replied with a succinct “no.”

“He is here,” stated Frank emphatically when quizzed about Toney’s future at Brentford. With offensive players missing from the team and no valid reason to sell him off, it seems like Frank has every intention of keeping hold of his prized asset for as long as possible.

Last season, Toney managed to find the back of the net an impressive 21 times for The Bees. However, they have recently faced defeat in their last five games; hence securing victory against Wolves in the third round of FA Cup might bring some much-needed relief from their current struggles.

“We are clearly in a sticky patch,” admitted coach Thomas Frank while reflecting on their recent performances. He acknowledged that rough patches are inevitable for every team at some point or another but expressed his hope that this would be the only one for Brentford this year.

Frank’s determination to go on a cup run is evident, and he promises to field a strong team against Wolves. However, he does question the need for replays in these tournaments, as it adds unnecessary pressure due to an already packed schedule.

“I really enjoy the two cup tournaments in England,” said Frank appreciatively of their significance. “Obviously the FA Cup holds historical value that we should cherish; however, I believe replays do more harm than good.”
