Celtic Boss Postecoglou Unfazed by Tottenham Interest

The Celtic manager, Ange Postecoglou, has brushed off reports linking him to Tottenham Hotspur as he prepares for the Scottish Cup final. Despite rumors circulating in some media outlets that Spurs are eyeing a move for the Australian following Celtic’s upcoming match with Inverness Caledonian Thistle on Saturday, Postecoglou remains focused.

“I get all the interest and why people love to speculate on these things,” said Postecoglou. “But we’ve worked really hard to get ourselves in this position and for me to let my mind wander about anything else other than getting our team prepared for a big day on Saturday just isn’t me.”

If victorious against Inverness CT at Hampden this Saturday, Celtic will secure their domestic treble while adding another trophy to their already impressive record under Postecoglou. The Australian has won four out of five available trophies in Scotland so far.

Postecoglou Addresses Speculations About His Future

Despite being linked with other jobs within Premier League clubs, Ange remained noncommittal when asked if he could reassure fans of his presence at the club next season.

“Our supporters want to roll up on cup day and celebrate and make sure it’s a special day,” said Postecolgou. “Anything I say now will mean zero if we don’t win on Saturday.”

Furuhashi Could Miss Out On Final

Speaking ahead of his side’s crucial fixture against Inverness CT, post-match press conference today revealed that Kyogo Furuhashi who has scored an outstanding tally of thirty-three goals this season, has not trained this week.

“He’s still determined about playing so we’ll see how it goes,” explained Postecoglou. “We’ll be guided by him. He’s very strong mentally, so if he gives us the green light we’ll put him in there.”
