Unseeded Krueger Defeats Former Number One Azarenka at Libema Open
American teenager Ashlyn Krueger has caused a major upset at the Libema Open in the Netherlands by defeating former world number one Victoria Azarenka. The unseeded player won 6-3 6-2 to secure her first win over a top-20 opponent and advance to the quarter-finals of the tournament.
In contrast, two-time Grand Slam champion Azarenka will be disappointed with her performance on grass, especially as she had been tipped as one of the favourites for this event.

Italian second seed Jannik Sinner has progressed to the quarter-finals of the men’s draw after beating Alexander Bublik from Kazakhstan in straight sets. Sinner is looking to bounce back on grass following his early exit at this year’s French Open, where he was knocked out in only the second round.
The world number nine is hoping for success at Wimbledon next month and will face Finland’s Emil Ruusuvuori next, who edged out Ugo Humbert 6-2 6-7 (6-8) 6-4 in their match.
