Harlequins Reshuffle Coaching Staff After Premiership Finish
Harlequins have undergone a coaching reshuffle, with Billy Millard taking on the role of director of rugby and Tabai Matson becoming director of performance development. The changes come after Harlequins finished sixth in the Premiership last season.
Millard Takes Charge
Billy Millard, who previously served as director of rugby performance for Harlequins, will now be responsible for overseeing the men’s first-team squad, the coaching team and support staff. The Australian has been with Quins since 2018 and is excited to take on this new challenge.
“I’m thrilled to be given this opportunity by Harlequins,” said Millard. “We have an exceptional group of players here at Quins, and I am looking forward to working closely with them to help us achieve our goals.”
Matson Moves On Up
Tabai Matson has moved from head coach to become director of performance development at Harlequins. In his new role, he will oversee a range of initiatives across both the men’s and women’s teams, including leading a strategic partnership with London Scottish.
“I’m delighted to take on this new challenge,” said Matson. “We have some very talented players at Quins across all levels, and I am confident that we can continue building towards success.”
