    British Paracyclists Dominate Time Trials at Road World Cup

    The Para-Cycling Road World Cup: British Riders Continue Time Trial Dominance

    Three British para-cyclists, Fin Graham, Daphne Schrager and Fran Brown, have won their respective time trial events at the Para-Cycling Road World Cup in Alabama. Their victories mark a perfect record of three out of three this season.

    Double Paralympic silver medallist Graham dominated his C3 event, finishing over a minute ahead of France’s Florian Bouziani. Schrager also took top honours in her C2 race by over 29 seconds while Brown was the sole rider in her C1 event in Huntsville.

    The tandem pair Sophie Unwin and Jenny Holl as well as Steve Bate and Chris Latham all secured silver medals. Bate and Latham edged team-mates Chris McDonald and Adam Duggleby into bronze medal position.

    In addition to these wins, newcomer Archie Atkinson (C4), Ryan Taylor (C2) and Morgan Newberry (C5) finished third in their respective events.

    Road Races Ahead

    This success sets up the GB riders for Monday’s road races which will be their final international competition before August’s UCI Cycling World Championships taking place Glasgow. The pressure is on for them to perform well following this latest string of impressive results.
