“England Qualifiers Hit by Injuries: Lewis Dunk and Jude Bellingham Ruled Out of Euro 2024 Matches”.

Dunk and Bellingham withdraw from England squad due to injuries

England manager Gareth Southgate has confirmed that Brighton defender Lewis Dunk and midfielder Jude Bellingham will not be featuring in the upcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers. The duo has withdrawn from the national team due to their respective injuries.

Dunk’s absence a big blow for England defence

Lewis Dunk, who is currently recovering from an injury, will not join his teammates at St George’s Park. He played a crucial role in helping Brighton qualify for Europe last season, earning himself a recall to the national side. With only one cap under his belt, he was hoping to impress Southgate with his performances during this international break.

However, it seems like fate had other plans as he now faces another spell on the sidelines. His absence will be felt dearly by an already depleted English backline that has been struggling with injuries of late.

Bellingham continues rehabilitation with England squad

Jude Bellingham is still nursing an injury that kept him out of Borussia Dortmund’s final game of the season but is expected to continue his rehabilitation alongside his Three Lions compatriots. Despite being unable to play in Malta on Friday or North Macedonia at Old Trafford on Monday, there are no doubts over his ability as one of best young players in world football today.

Rice and Manchester City players yet to arrive at camp

The rest of Southgate’s 25-man squad started reporting for training sessions on Sunday ahead of their two games this week; however West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice and the Manchester City contingent – Jack Grealish, John Stones, Phil Foden, Kyle Walker and Kalvin Phillips – are due to arrive in the coming days following their respective European finals.

The injuries of key players like Dunk and Bellingham will be a significant blow to England as they embark on their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign. Southgate has called up replacements for both men but it remains to be seen if they can fill the void left by these two stars.
