Everton extends contract offers to Seamus Coleman and Tom Davies

Everton Offer New Contracts to Coleman and Davies but Townsend is Leaving

After narrowly avoiding relegation this season, Everton has offered new contracts to captain Seamus Coleman and midfielder Tom Davies. However, former Crystal Palace winger Andros Townsend will be leaving the club.

Coleman, 34, has been with Everton since his move from Sligo Rovers in 2009. He played a total of 409 times with the Toffees. Meanwhile, Davies spent all of his career at Goodison Park playing for Everton for a total of 179 matches.

The backup goalkeeper Andy Lonergan has also been offered a new deal while Colombia defender Yerry Mina and Bosnia keeper Asmir Begovic are leaving the club.

Begovic had received an offer but ultimately decided to leave. On the other hand, midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure’s contract was extended until next season’s end.

Townsend hasn’t played any games since March because of anterior cruciate ligament damage.
