Josh Tarling Becomes Youngest British Elite Men’s Time Trial Champion

In a stunning performance at the National Road Championships, Josh Tarling has become the youngest ever British elite men’s time trial champion. The Ineos Grenadiers rider left his competitors in awe as he finished more than one minute ahead of second-placed Fred Wright over a 41.1km course.

    A Weird Win for Tarling

Tarling himself admitted that winning was “a bit weird”, but he is “super happy” and looks forward to wearing his new prestigious jersey in upcoming races. He tactfully paced himself throughout the race, making sure not to go too hard too early so that he could finish strong.

Fellow Welsh Riders Take Silver and Bronze in Women’s Race

The women’s race saw fellow Welsh riders Anna Morris and Elinor Barker take silver and bronze respectively. Lizzie Holden from Isle of Man emerged as the winner, proving her mettle on an impressive ride in Darlington.

Circuit Races Next for Championship Contenders

The championships continue with circuit races on Friday before culminating with road races on Sunday. Tarling already has double British track championship titles under his belt, having won points and team pursuit titles last year. He is now looking forward to adding another jersey to his collection during Friday’s circuit race.
