2023 Community Shield to mark Wembley’s centenary

The 100th anniversary of English football’s home, Wembley Stadium, will host the 2023 Community Shield as Manchester City takes on Arsenal in the traditional season-opening match. The game is scheduled for Sunday, August 6th at 5:30 pm BST.

Last year’s curtain-raiser between Manchester City and Liverpool was played at Leicester City due to Wembley hosting the Women’s Euros final the following day. However, next season should see a return to normality with all fixtures taking place at Wembley.

FA Cup Final Date Confirmed for Next Season

The FA Cup final has been confirmed to take place on Saturday, May 25th, six days after the Premier League finale. Given that last year witnessed an extended break owing to scheduling issues due to winter World Cup held in Qatar; this date seems more favorable than usual.

Manchester City won both competitions last year and will play runners-up Arsenal in this season’s Community Shield. With such dominance from one club during recent years comes much anticipation surrounding which teams will challenge them next term.

Festivities at Wembley – Playoffs Finals & Champions League Final

In addition to these two significant dates on the footballing calendar there are other events planned around it too including Championship play-off final on May 26th followed by UEFA Champions League Final just five days later on June 1st- both of which are set for Wembly stadium. The Women’s FA cup final is also expected sometime in May but no official announcement regarding exact date has been made yet. There is going be a lot happening around this time so make sure you don’t miss out!
