Northern Ireland faces Injury Doubts Ahead of Euro 2024 Qualifier
Ahead of the much-anticipated Euro 2024 qualifier match against Kazakhstan, Northern Ireland is facing injury doubts with two of its key defenders. Michael O’Neill, the team’s manager revealed that Paddy McNair and Conor Bradley did not participate in Sunday’s training session at Windsor Park.
The absence of these players has raised concerns amongst fans, as both McNair and Bradley have been instrumental to the team’s success in previous matches. However, Watford centre-half Craig Cathcart was present during Sunday’s training session and is expected to be fit for Monday night’s crucial game. Cathcart had missed the last match against Denmark due to a back injury.
Northern Ireland currently stands fifth on Group H table while Denmark leads the group standings. The upcoming match against Kazakhstan is critical for Northern Ireland if they want to keep their hopes alive for qualifying into Euro 2024.
Although there are still doubts surrounding some key players’ fitness levels, fans remain hopeful that their team will emerge victorious come Monday night!
