    Romeo Beckham Joins Brentford’s B Team on a One-Year Deal

    Football fans worldwide are in for a treat as the son of former England captain David, Romeo Beckham, has joined Brentford’s B team. The young footballer signed a one-year deal with the club and will have an option to extend it by another year.

    The 20-year-old midfielder previously played for Inter Miami, which is co-owned by his father. He spent the second half of the 2022-23 season on loan at Brentford before signing up officially.

    Brentford head coach Neil MacFarlane expressed delight over Romeo’s addition to their squad. Speaking about him, he said that they added him to their squad in January and was fantastic for the group. During his time at Inter Miami II last season, Romeo provided ten assists in twenty games during Major League Soccer (MLS) Next Pro Season.

    The young player had fifteen appearances under MacFarlane while playing for Brentford during his loan spell. Further speaking about Romeo joining them finally this season, MacFarlane stated that they continued developing him both “in and out of possession” and looked forward to working with him again next season.

    Brentford FC launched their ‘B’ team back in 2016 intending not to play any league matches but only participating in cup competitions or arranging friendlies against other teams across Europe or elsewhere globally.
