Unbeaten British heavyweight prospect Tommy Welch promises explosive knockout victory

Talented British heavyweight boxer, Tommy Welch is ready to make his biggest statement yet on the world stage. The 28-year-old unbeaten professional aims to extend his record to 9-0 with a dominant win this weekend in Bournemouth.

Welch, trained by Deontay Wilder’s coach Malik Scott has promised fans an emphatic victory. According to him, if he hits and hurts you, then be assured that he will finish you off quickly. He likes bringing out the vicious side when it matters most and plans on doing so against his next opponent.

The upcoming fight is not just another opportunity for him; rather it’s almost like a blessing considering how hard he has worked towards achieving it. Having been around boxing champions all his life as a fan of the game himself, he looks forward to going toe-to-toe with some of the best fighters in the world.

    Working with Malik Scott:

The American coach may have played an essential role in helping Welch temper his aggression while adding more finesse skills into his arsenal. Although Welch never shared a gym space with Wilder himself -he reckons that anyone seeing Wilder under Scott’s guidance would appreciate how much progress they’ve made together as coach and fighter.

“He slows him down a little bit,” said Welch about Scott’s training methods towards Wilder.” He gets him to pick shots correctly instead of running forward too fast.”

    Keeping It In The Family

A former amateur national champion, Tommy prides himself on upholding boxing entertainment both inside and outside of the ring while navigating through professional ranks. He comes from a rich fighting family background where everyone shares immense pride in their passion for combat sports. Tommy is proud to represent his family in pursuit of title success, and he has been guided by someone who’s worn the T-shirt before him. His dad, Scott Welch, was a former world title challenger and instils confidence in Tommy with his advice.

“However far he got, he can instil in me to help me get to the next step that he perhaps didn’t reach,” said Tommy. “He overstepped where he envisioned going but never put his limit as far as being a World Champion.”

With such confidence-building work ethics and an excellent team behind him led by Malik Scott. There are no limits for this young boxer who sees every fight not just an opportunity but also a chance at making history.
