WSL Standouts Guro Reiten and Frida Maanum Selected for Norway’s Women’s World Cup 2023 Squad

Norway Announces Final Squad for Women’s World Cup

In a much-anticipated announcement, Norway has revealed its final squad of 23 players who will be representing the country at the upcoming Women’s World Cup. The team boasts some impressive talent and a total of six WSL players are included in the side.

Key Players to Watch Out For

Chelsea winger Guro Reiten and Arsenal midfielder Frida Maanum have both made it into the final squad. Reiten was nominated alongside Maanum for WSL player of the season after scoring nine goals in just 21 matches last season.

The Barcelona striker Caroline Graham Hansen is also included in the squad, having taken a break from international football due to heart problems and fatigue. Her return will undoubtedly give Norway an added edge on the field.

Another notable inclusion is Chelsea defender Maren Mjelde, who will captain Norway’s two-time European champions side during this tournament. She’ll play alongside Brighton defender Guro Bergsvand, while Manchester United’s Vilde Boe Risa, Manchester City’s Julie Blakstad and Amalie Eikeland complete their defensive lineup.
