CS2 PGL Copenhagen Major RMRs: Teams Battling for Counter-Strike Greatness

The Road to the First CS2 Major

In anticipation of the upcoming Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) Major, the highly anticipated PGL Copenhagen Major is set to kick off in mid-March. Before this prestigious event takes place, it’s crucial to have a comprehensive list of participating teams. This is where the Regional Major Rankings (RMRs) come into play.

The RMR events serve as the final hurdle for teams from major regions such as Europe, the Americas, and Asia-Pacific before they can secure their spot at the pinnacle of Counter-Strike competition. With only 24 coveted spots available at Denmark’s first-ever CS2 Major, these RMR tournaments are vital in determining which teams will earn their stickers and achieve greatness in Counter-Strike.

All Qualified Teams for CS2 PGL Copenhagen Major RMRs:

Europe and CIS Take Center Stage:

The European and CIS region boasts an impressive total of 32 competing teams due to its size and dominance showcased during the BLAST Paris Major. These squads will battle it out through two separate RMR events – European RMR A held from February 14th to February 17th and European RMR B taking place from February 19th to February22nd.

Americas Showdown – North vs South:

Including both North America and South America, a total of sixteen determined teams participate in The American RMR. Apart from FURIA, who received a direct invitation based on their performance in Paris, all other teams secured their places through rigorous closed qualifiers consisting of eight teams from NA and seven teams from SA. The American RMR will be held from March 1st to March 4th.

Asia-Pacific Battle:

The Asia-Pacific RMR promises intense competition as sixteen representative squads hailing from five different subregions including Oceania, China, East Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East vie for just two spots at the Major. This thrilling tournament is scheduled to take place from February 26th to February28th.
