In response, former Lancashire batter-wicketkeeper Alex Davies put his old club to sword hitting an unbeaten fifty-one-run knock off thirty-six balls. He was ably assisted by Rob Yates who scored thirty runs himself as they chased down target comfortably within ninety-nine runs with three wickets still remaining.

Rapids Remain Unbeaten While Northamptonshire Register First Win

Meanwhile, Worcestershire Rapids maintained their perfect record after defeating Leicestershire comprehensively by thirty-three runs at New Road. Kashif Ali’s brilliant sixty-nine helped them post a competitive score of one hundred eighty-three for seven which proved too much for struggling Leicestershire side.

The Northamptonshire side too got off the mark with a convincing six-wicket win over Derbyshire.

Glorious Victory for Gloucestershire Over Middlesex
