Carlo Ancelotti extends contract with Real Madrid until 2026

Real Madrid Manager Carlo Ancelotti Extends Contract

In a surprising turn of events, Real Madrid has announced that manager Carlo Ancelotti has signed a new contract with the club. The Italian tactician’s deal will now run until June 2026, extending his stay at the Bernabeu.

Ancelotti, who was appointed for a second time in 2021 on an initial three-year contract, has proven himself as one of the most successful managers in Real Madrid’s history. With 10 titles already under his belt during his tenure as boss, including two Champions League triumphs in his first season back at the club in 2021-22, he continues to make waves in football management.

The experienced coach previously managed Real between 2013 and 2015 and left shortly after clinching the Champions League trophy. However, destiny brought him back to Los Blancos when he replaced Zinedine Zidane last year following his departure from Everton.

Ancelotti’s achievements extend beyond just leading Real Madrid to glory. He holds several records that highlight his exceptional coaching abilities. Notably, he is currently the only coach to have won four European Cups and is also recognized as being the first manager to conquer all five major leagues – Italy, England France Germany and Spain – securing championships along each journey.

While last season saw Real capture Copa del Rey silverware, they fell short of clinching the La Liga title, finishing as runners-up to Barcelona. Their Champions League campaign also ended in disappointment with a semi-final exit. However, this season looks more promising for Ancelotti’s squad as they currently sit at the top of La Liga standings after 18 matches and remain competitive in both domestic and European cup competitions.

Carlo Ancelotti: A Name Synonymous with Success

Throughout his managerial career, Carlo Ancelotti has become synonymous with success. His ability to guide teams to victory is unparalleled, earning him the utmost respect in football circles worldwide.

Ancelotti’s journey originally began at Real Madrid back in 2013 when he took charge of a star-studded lineup that included Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, and Sergio Ramos. In just two seasons at the helm, he led Los Blancos to numerous titles including their tenth Champions League trophy – La Decima.

The Italian then ventured into new territories by managing Bayern Munich from 2016-2017 where he secured back-to-back Bundesliga titles before making his mark on English football with Chelsea between 2009-2011. During his time at Stamford Bridge, Ancelotti guided the Blues to their first Premier League title since 2006 – an achievement not forgotten by fans.

Prior to taking over real Madrid once again last year, Ancelotti had successful stints at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Napoli. At PSG he won Ligue 1 while molding them into a formidable force domestically and challenging Europe’s elite clubs on multiple fronts. Meanwhile, during his tenure at Napoli from 2018-2019 acknowledged for revitalizing the club’s gameplay style while leading them towards silverware contention.
