Bearman and Fittipaldi Announced as Reserves for Ferrari and Haas

In a surprising turn of events, young talent Oliver Bearman has been announced as a reserve driver for both Ferrari and Haas in the upcoming Formula 1 season. The 18-year-old impressed during his outings with Haas last year, driving in FP1 sessions in Mexico and Abu Dhabi.

Despite his age, Bearman will now cover both roles on selected race weekends when he is able to attend grands prix. This dual responsibility reflects the confidence that both teams have in his abilities.

Haas has gone above and beyond the regulatory requirements by scheduling an impressive six FP1 sessions for Bearman this season. He will hit the track at Imola, Barcelona, Silverstone, the Hungaroring, Mexico City, and Abu Dhabi – providing him with valuable seat time in an F1 car.

Meanwhile, Pietro Fittipaldi retains his position as reserve driver for Haas despite also securing an IndyCar drive with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing this year. The Brazilian driver expressed his desire to remain involved with Haas on non-clashing weekends after signing the deal.
