Former Aston Villa Manager Dean Smith Appointed Head Coach of Charlotte FC

Dean Smith, the former manager of Aston Villa, has recently been announced as the head coach for Major League Soccer club Charlotte FC. This appointment comes after his six-month stint as an interim manager at Leicester City upon their relegation from the Premier League.

“Throughout the interview process, it was evident that this ambitious club possesses all the necessary ingredients for success,” said Smith, who previously served as Norwich boss before joining Villa.

Charlotte FC has been a part of MLS for two seasons and have consistently finished ninth in the Eastern Conference during regular season campaigns.
