Gla1ve and kuben appointed to ENCE’s CS2 lineup as in-game leader and head coach

ENCE Signs Legendary gla1ve and Coach kuben

In a surprising move, Counter-Strike mastermind gla1ve and veteran coach kuben have officially joined the ranks of ENCE on November 27th. This unexpected duo fills the void left by the departure of captain Snappi and coach sAw just a day prior.

Gla1ve and kuben are tasked with continuing the legacy established by Snappi and sAw, who successfully transformed ENCE into an international powerhouse in 2021. For gla1ve, this presents a golden opportunity to reclaim his former glory after spending months on Astralis’ bench without any major tournament victories since December 2019. Meanwhile, Kuben brings with him recent success as he guided tier-two team GamerLegion to an impressive top-four finish at the BLAST Paris Major in May.

“It’s truly an incredible opportunity for me,” expressed a grateful gla1ve in an official statement. “Being part of a team comprised of such exceptional players is truly humbling. I’m excited about this new project as it offers both unfamiliar territory for me as well as countless possibilities within Counter-Strike 2.0. I believe wholeheartedly in this team’s potential, and I’m thrilled to be a part of it now!”

Prior to Snappi and sAw’s departure, ENCE stood firm among the top five teams globally, securing notable victories like IEM Dallas in June while also reaching multiple grand finals including Gamers8, IEM Cologne in August, and ESL Pro League Season 15 back in April.

Gla1ve has undeniably cemented himself as one of the greatest CS:GO in-game leaders, leading Astralis to an impressive four Major championships between 2017 and 2019, along with numerous tier-one tournament victories. This change of scenery may provide him with the perfect opportunity to reclaim his former glory, especially since ENCE is already a well-established force in the scene. Notably, this will be Gla1ve’s first time assuming an English-speaking shot-calling role at the highest level.

Under gla1ve and kuben’s new leadership, ENCE is set to make their debut on Wednesday, November 29th against HAVU at the highly anticipated $200,000 Elisa Masters Espoo tournament held in Finland.
