The debut DLC character for Street Fighter 6 is set to make a grand entrance in the coming weeks

Street Fighter 6: Rashid DLC Release Date Confirmed by Capcom

In the world of Street Fighter, the anticipation for the release of Street Fighter 6 is at its peak. With the launch month generating plenty of hype, fans can now look forward to the first DLC character making his way into the game on July 24th.

Rashid Takes to The Skies and Streets Once Again

Rashid of the Turbulent Wind, a fan-favorite fast-paced battler who relies on quick movements and aerial options, will be joining Street Fighter 6’s roster. Having made his debut in Street Fighter V, Rashid brings with him an array of familiar moves that have been enhanced to give players increased mobility and control over their opponents.

“His unique fighting style is characterized by parkour and nimble movements while also utilizing whirlwinds/air currents to trifle with his opponents,” explains SF6 director Takayuki Nakayama. “He has many techniques to attack while moving forward and has a unique Run action that is used from a forward step, giving him plenty of ways to approach his opponents.”

A New Set of Moves for Increased Movement Options

To further enhance Rashid’s agility in combat, he has been given a double jump called Arabian Skyhigh. This move allows him to fake out opponents and remain airborne for longer periods during battles.

The Streaming Footuber – A Quirky Addition To His Characterization

In addition to reworking Rashid slightly as a streaming Footuber (the SF6 equivalent content creator), Capcom adds charm as he shows off for the camera in the first gameplay trailer. This quirky addition brings a touch of humor to his character and showcases his personality.

    Rashid Arrives! Fighting Pass

The release date for Rashid coincides with SF6’s second battle pass, known as the “Rashid Arrives! Fighting Pass”. This gives players access to avatar items themed around Rashid himself, as well as classic music from Street Fighter V, including Rashid’s Theme – a beloved track among the fighting game community. The availability of this content will end on July 23rd, just before Rashid arrives on servers.

    World Tour Availability

Once added to World Tour mode, players can train with Rashid and unlock his moves for their avatars. Additionally, by mastering him in this mode, players will be able to unlock an alternate costume for free.
