The Impact of Aleksander Balcerowski on the Celtics’ Summer League Squad

Boston Celtics’ Summer League Prospect: Aleksander Balcerowski

Now that the NBA Draft is behind us and free agency activity has slowed down, it’s time to shift our focus towards the upcoming Summer League. This year, the Boston Celtics have a plethora of talented players who could potentially secure a spot on the team’s roster.

One player who has particularly caught my attention is Aleksander Balcerowski. Standing at an impressive 7’1″ and only 22 years old, this European big man possesses tremendous potential that can be further developed by being surrounded by NBA-level talent and coaching systems. Last season, Balcerowski showcased his skills playing for Gran Canaria in the Liga ACB, where he averaged 9.2 points and 3.4 rebounds per game.

The Boston Globe’s Adam Himmeslbach revealed that Boston has been closely monitoring Balcerowski’s development and even attempted to add him to their Summer League roster last year. Upon watching his gameplay footage, it becomes evident why there is such interest surrounding him.

Although not known as a prolific perimeter scorer with a three-point shooting percentage of just 25%, when we delve deeper into his abilities, we discover that Balcerowski excels in specific spots on the floor.
