In a surprising turn of events, Victor Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, has issued a stern warning to Napoli after the club allegedly mocked the striker on social media.

The incident occurred when Napoli shared a video on their TikTok account featuring Osimhen missing a penalty against Bologna. The video was accompanied by a high-pitched voice saying “gimme penalty please.” Despite being subsequently deleted, this act sparked controversy.

“We will not hesitate to take legal action and pursue any necessary steps to safeguard Victor,” Calenda stated firmly in response to the incident.

He further expressed his dissatisfaction with Naples’ official profile mocking his client. “The posting of a video that ridiculed Victor is utterly unacceptable. It was initially made public and only removed belatedly. This serious act does considerable harm to the player and compounds the mistreatment he has endured lately through media trials and false news.”

Osimhen had recently raised eyebrows when he questioned manager Rudi Garcia upon being substituted during Sunday’s goalless draw against Bologna.

The Nigerian international joined Napoli for an astonishing 81.3 million euros last summer and played an integral role in securing their first Serie A title in 33 years last season with 26 goals from 32 league appearances.
