Alice Haynes, the new trainer at Asadna, brings joy and satisfaction

Asadna Could Make a Splash in France After Impressive Newmarket Run

In a bid to make his mark on the horse racing scene, Asadna could be heading to France for his first outing under Alice Haynes. The young colt showcased his potential during an impressive six-furlong workout at Newmarket over the weekend.

After a dominant victory at Ripon on debut, Asadna faced tougher competition and finished ninth out of twenty contenders in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot. However, following that race, Sheikh Abdullah Almalek Alsabah acquired ownership of the talented Mehmas colt and transferred him from George Boughey’s stable to Alice Haynes’ yard last month.

Haynes is still getting acquainted with her new charge but has already entered him into the Rose Bowl Stakes at Newbury. Nevertheless, it seems more likely that Asadna will make his next appearance on French soil.

“Asadna has now completed two strong workouts for us,” explained Haynes. “The first one took place yesterday on our Watered Gallop track where I saw great potential in him. We decided to enter him into the Rose Bowl Stakes today.”

The decision whether or not to run Atsadna in this particular race will depend greatly on ground conditions as he performs best on firm surfaces. If suitable ground is unavailable, alternative options such as a Group Three race in France or the Goodwood event will be considered. Haynes added, “We’ll closely monitor the ground situation and make our decision accordingly. Atsadna showed great form during his six-furlong workout this morning under the guidance of Kieren Fallon.”

Haynes admitted that while the Rose Bowl Stakes is a tempting choice, it may come too soon for Asadna’s liking. Another training session is scheduled for Tuesday to assess his readiness, but ensuring he has good to firm ground remains paramount.

In conclusion, Asadna’s journey towards becoming a renowned racehorse continues as he explores new opportunities on both national and international stages. His impressive performance at Newmarket indicates that there are exciting times ahead for this talented colt.
