Toto Wolff, Mercedes team principal, expressed his disappointment with the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, calling it “boring.” He believes that Formula 1 needs to examine ways to make races more engaging and entertaining.

Red Bull seems to have surpassed its competitors by effectively controlling the car’s ‘platform,’ minimizing movement and consistently producing downforce. Wolff believes that Mercedes’ performance issues are “more about ride control than sheer downforce.”

He urged other teams to catch up with Red Bull, stating, “We see a pattern. There are two Red Bulls, six cars, and then the third division. That has been the pattern for the first four races, and we have to shake that up somehow.”

Wolff concluded by emphasizing the importance of merit-based victories and called on teams to outsmart Red Bull rather than resorting to rule changes.
