Ulster Head Coach Dan McFarland Expresses Disappointment after Narrow Defeat to Connacht
In a thrilling encounter at Galway, Ulster suffered a heartbreaking loss against their rivals Connacht. Despite initially leading with a comfortable margin of 20-3 in the second half, Ulster was unable to maintain their advantage as Connacht staged an incredible comeback.
“We’re pretty gutted in there. We came to do a job and we wanted to win the game,” expressed head coach Dan McFarland.
A Deserved Victory for Connacht
McFarland acknowledged that Connacht deserved their victory, stating “Fair play to them, they deserved to win in the end.” The defeat sees Ulster drop down in the United Rugby Championship table while propelling Connacht to its top position.
