Corach Rambler set to make highly anticipated comeback at Kelso this Saturday

Randox Grand National Winner Corach Rambler Set for Exciting Return at Kelso

In a surprising twist of events, Lucinda Russell has revealed that the triumphant nine-year-old Corach Rambler will be making his much-awaited reappearance this Saturday. Fans and enthusiasts were buzzing with speculation when they learned about the potential options available for his return.

Choosing Between Epic Jumps Season and Edinburgh Gin Chase

The Epic Jumps Season At William Hill Handicap Chase at Cheltenham seemed like an enticing choice alongside the Edinburgh Gin Chase at Kelso on the same afternoon. However, after careful consideration, it has been decided that Corach Rambler will be staying closer to home.

    Trainer’s Insight: Weighing the Options

Talking exclusively to William Hill, trainer Lucinda Russell explained their decision-making process behind selecting Edinburgh Gin Chase as Corach Rambler’s first run of the season. She stated, “We had two exciting opportunities for him but ultimately felt that participating in a limited handicap race would work out better.”

“By choosing Kelso instead of Cheltenham, he won’t have to give away as much weight and we believe it suits him nicely,” she added.

    A Champion in Prime Form

Corach Rambler has shown exceptional form during training sessions leading up to this momentous occasion. According to Russell, “He is still going strong, just as he did before his Grand National victory.”

While the toll of previous races on a horse can be uncertain, Corach Rambler seems to have recovered remarkably well. Russell affirmed, “He appears in great spirits and we are eagerly looking forward to seeing him perform once again.”

    An Easy-Fit Champion

Preparing for this reappearance hasn’t been too taxing for Corach Rambler. Russell shared insights into their training regimen, saying, “He doesn’t require excessive work to get fit. We even took him for a racecourse gallop at Ayr which should have helped further advance his readiness.”
