Former Professional Player from Evil Geniuses Joins Bleed in Search for Counter-Strike Redemption

Rounding out 2023 with a bang!

In an unexpected move, Bleed Esports has recently announced the signing of former NRG and Evil Geniuses AWPer, CeRq, to their Counter-Strike 2 roster. With this addition, the team is now only two members away from finalizing their line-up for their competitive debut in CS2 next year.

Under the guidance of head coach kassad, Bleed Esports has been diligently building a strong roster to make a statement in the upcoming season. Alongside CeRq’s arrival are notable signings such as hampus from Ninjas in Pyjamas and faveN from BIG, leaving fans curious about who will fill the remaining two spots on the team.

CeRq is widely recognized for his exceptional AWP skills throughout his six-year career in CS:GO. He first gained attention during his time with Outlaws, a Bulgarian CS team before being acquired by NRG in 2017. Following NRG’s acquisition by Evil Geniuses in 2019, CeRq continued to impress audiences with tournament victories and prestigious accolades.

Unfortunately, during recent years after multiple roster changes within Evil Geniuses’ lineup caused a decline in performance overall—including CeRq himself. According to HLTV statistics between 2021 and 2022, he averaged a rating of only 0.98 and an impact rating of just .89—a significant drop compared to his earlier achievements.

After nearly a year of hiatus, CeRq is making his comeback as Bleed Esports’ primary AWPer for their CS2 team. Head coach kassad has expressed great confidence in CeRq’s potential, remarking during an interview that he believes the player still has many years ahead to excel and develop his skills.

Fans are eagerly waiting to see if CeRq can rediscover his prime form and become a vital asset for Bleed Esports in the 2024 season. With such talent and determination, a potential Counter-Strike redemption arc might be on the horizon.
