Fulham Secure Four-Year Deal with Timothy Castagne, Defender from Leicester

Fulham Secure Signing of Timothy Castagne from Leicester City

In a surprising move, Fulham Football Club has announced the signing of Belgium full-back, Timothy Castagne, from Premier League rivals Leicester City. The deal sees Castagne join the Cottagers on a four-year contract, with an option to extend for another year.

Castagne’s arrival at Craven Cottage marks the end of his three-season spell at Leicester’s King Power Stadium. During his time with the Foxes, he made significant contributions and amassed a total of 112 appearances, finding the back of the net five times.

The Belgian international is eager to embark on this new chapter in his career and expressed his excitement about joining Marco Silva’s squad. In an interview with FFCtv, Castagne shared: “It’s been quite a lengthy transfer window journey for me. Finally being here brings immense relief. I’ve had conversations with our manager and I simply can’t wait to start training and playing.”

Having not featured under new Leicester boss Enzo Maresca this season, Castagne saw an opportunity to make a fresh start at Fulham and return to top-flight football in England.

A Versatile Addition to Fulham Defense

Tony Khan, vice chairman of Fulham FC, voiced his excitement regarding the acquisition: “We are delighted to welcome Timothy Castagne into our team. His versatility as a defender combined with impressive experience both in domestic leagues and international competitions will undoubtedly strengthen our defense.”

Premier League Debut Anticipated Against Manchester City

Fulham supporters eagerly await the prospect of seeing Castagne make his Premier League debut for the club. The defender could potentially showcase his abilities in a challenging match against Manchester City on Saturday.

Castagne’s arrival at Fulham marks Marco Silva’s fourth signing this summer, following the additions of Adama Traore, Raul Jimenez, and Calvin Bassey. With these new acquisitions, Fulham aims to compete strongly in the upcoming season and improve their standing within the league.
