Harry Winks on the Verge of Joining Leicester City in £10m Move

Tottenham Midfielder’s Move to Leicester Imminent

In a stunning turn of events, it seems that Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks is inching closer to securing a move to Leicester City. The transfer fee being discussed stands at around £10m – an amount that could reshape the dynamics of both clubs’ midfield.

The 27-year-old Englishman has experienced a decline in his playing time at Spurs over recent seasons and was sent out on loan to Sampdoria in Italy for the entirety of last season. Despite earning 10 caps for England, his last appearance for the national team dates back to 2020.

Interestingly, Leicester is already engaged in negotiations with Tottenham over another potential transfer – this time involving talented midfielder James Maddison. At only 26 years old, Maddison is set to become the first significant departure from Leicester since their unfortunate relegation from the Premier League. The Foxes are reportedly demanding a hefty sum of £40m for his services.

A Glance at Harry Winks’ Career and Recent Struggles

Proudly emerging from the ranks of Spurs’ academy, Winks boasts more than 200 appearances across various competitions for Tottenham Hotspur Football Club. However, his last appearance for the team came on the final day of the 2021-22 campaign.

During his loan spell at Sampdoria in Italy’s top flight last season, Winks featured 20 times. Sadly, it was not a fruitful experience as Sampdoria finished at the bottom of the league and were subsequently relegated from Serie A. Despite this setback, Leicester City sees potential in him and is eager to revitalize his career under their banner.
