Kylian Mbappe: Paris St-Germain forward to be excluded from first team training due to contract dispute

Kylian Mbappe Omitted from Paris St-Germain’s Training Squad Ahead of Ligue 1 Season

In a puzzling turn of events, star forward Kylian Mbappe will not be joining Paris St-Germain’s first-team squad as they gear up for the upcoming Ligue 1 season. This comes amidst an ongoing contract dispute and Mbappe’s expressed desire to join Real Madrid.

The prolific goal scorer, who currently holds the record for most goals in PSG history, has made it clear that he will not sign a one-year extension to his contract which expires next summer. As a result, PSG is eager to sell him now and secure a transfer fee rather than risk losing him on a free transfer.

Mbappe was notably absent from PSG’s pre-season tour in Asia after being excluded from the touring squad. Additionally, he rejected an offer from Al-Hilal in the Saudi Pro League despite their world-record bid to acquire his services.

As PSG begins their title defense against Lorient this Saturday, it is understood that Mbappe will train with the ‘loft’ group instead of the ‘A’ training group consisting of players likely to feature in first-team action.

Sources within PSG have revealed that they recently attempted to resolve the situation by offering Mbappe a guaranteed sale clause at the end of this season. However, this proposal was ultimately turned down by the talented forward.

A Change in Strategy for PSG?

Having experienced years of disappointment on Europe’s biggest stage despite their “galactico” approach of signing superstar players, Paris Saint-Germain seems ready for a new direction. Rumors circulate that the club is nearing the completion of a deal for Benfica’s young talent, Goncalo Ramos.

The 22-year-old forward made headlines with a stunning hat-trick for Portugal at last year’s World Cup in Qatar and has attracted interest from several top clubs across Europe. PSG is expected to invest approximately €80 million (£69 million) in securing his services.
