In a thrilling game three of the Western Conference semi-final, LeBron James and Anthony Davis put on a spectacular show to help the Los Angeles Lakers secure a vital win against defending champions Golden State Warriors.
The Lakers took a commanding 2-1 series lead with their dominant performance against one of the best teams in NBA history. Despite not taking any shots from the field in the first quarter, LeBron finished with an impressive 21 points while also contributing seven assists and six rebounds. Meanwhile, Davis registered another double-double with his stellar display – scoring 25 points and grabbing 13 rebounds.
Butler returns for Miami Heat as they take control over New York Knicks
The Miami Heat secured another victory over rivals New York Knicks thanks to Jimmy Butler’s heroic return following an ankle injury that kept him out of Game Two.
Butler led by example as he scored an impressive total of 28 points, making nine out of twenty-one shots from the floor while achieving ten out eleven free-throws. With this latest victory under their belt, The Heat now have taken a comfortable two-games-to-one lead in their Eastern Conference semi-final series against the underdogs.
A Battle Between Two Titans
“It was important for us to get back to our roots: defending and guarding,” said Anthony Davis after sealing victory for his team. “This is never easy when you’re up against such formidable opponents like Golden State Warriors but we stuck together as a unit and managed to keep them at bay.” He added: “We know it will be tough going forward; both teams can score heavily on any given night, but I think we have what it takes to finish this series with a win.”
The NBA is heating up with some amazing performances from the star players. The Lakers and Heat look like they’re in good shape to advance further into the playoffs while their rivals will need to step up if they want any chance of progressing.
