In a thrilling finale at Trent Bridge, Leicestershire emerged victorious as they won the One-Day Cup final by defeating Hampshire off the very last ball. This triumph marks their first List A trophy in an astonishing 38 years!

The game started with Leicestershire struggling at just 19-4, facing a seemingly insurmountable challenge. However, it was Harry Swindells’ exceptional unbeaten century that propelled the Foxes to a total of 267-7 and turned the tables on their opponents.

Hampshire showed great resilience throughout their chase, especially with commendable half-centuries from Tom Prest (51) and Liam Dawson (57). His unbeaten knock of 117 runs not only secured his team’s win but also stands as the highest individual score achieved in any limited-overs final since Rilee Rossouw’s brilliant innings of 125 not out helped Hampshire defeat Kent at Lord’s in 2018.
