Love Envoi prepared for return in prestigious Fighting Fifth hurdle race

Love Envoi to Take on Constitution Hill in BetMGM Fighting Fifth Hurdle

Renowned trainer Harry Fry has officially confirmed that Love Envoi will be competing against top contender Constitution Hill in the highly anticipated BetMGM Fighting Fifth Hurdle at Newcastle this coming Saturday. With an impressive track record of eight victories out of eleven races, Love Envoi has proven herself as a remarkable asset for her connections over the past two seasons.

In her novice year, Love Envoi emerged triumphant in the Dawn Run Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle, showcasing immense talent and potential right from the start. Last season, she displayed great courage when pitted against formidable opponent Honeysuckle in the David Nicholson Mares’ Hurdle and finished as a gallant runner-up. Returning to action after some time off, Love Envoi faces a formidable challenge going up against one of the best hurdlers currently in training.

Fry believes that participating in such a prestigious event is an ideal way to kickstart Love Envoi’s season. Despite facing adverse weather conditions with chilly temperatures prevalent across North East England, necessary precautions have been taken by ensuring that the track remains covered for optimal performance during the race.

“She’s fully prepared to commence her season. Clearly, it will be an exceptional race with esteemed competitor Constitution Hill also slated to compete; however, it serves as an excellent starting point for us,” expressed Fry during his interview at Newcastle Racecourse.

“Since she resumed training with us, we’ve been pleased with her progress and eagerly anticipate her return to the track. When Noel (Fehily, the syndicate manager) approached me to train Love Envoi, I was elated. Her debut season was exceptional as she remained unbeaten on this side of Ireland and only suffered her first loss at the Cheltenham Festival in a race held in Ireland.

“Last year, she continued her winning streak with two additional victories before putting up a splendid fight and securing second place against Honeysuckle in the Mares’ Hurdle.”

Once again, our focus remains fixed on preparing for another tremendous run at the Mares’ Hurdle during March; however, we are genuinely excited to witness Love Envoi’s performance this weekend.”
