The Intriguing Leaks and Exciting Updates Surrounding the Apex Legends Global Series

The world of competitive gaming is no stranger to leaks, and the Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) is currently generating a lot of buzz with its upcoming Split Two Playoffs. From live-streamed strategies to performance evaluations in practice matches, there’s always something exciting happening. But what sets this leak apart is that it comes directly from EA, Respawn’s parent company.

In anticipation of celebrating the culmination of Year 3 of the ALGS, EA recently unveiled a brand-new addition: The Inaugural Positive Player Award. This prestigious award aims to recognize one exceptional Apex pro who demonstrates both positivity and competitiveness throughout their gameplay. According to an official blog post by EA, the winner will be announced during the highly anticipated ALGS Year 3 Championship scheduled for September 10.

Interestingly enough, there seems to have been an unofficial but official release regarding the dates for this year’s championship event. Last year saw ALGS hosting the Split Two Playoffs from April 29th to May 1st before culminating in a thrilling Championships showdown between July 7th and July 10th. Following this pattern, rumor has it that this year’s competition will follow suit as well. Allegedly, Split Two Playoffs are set to take place from July 13th to July 16th, followed by regional Last Chance Qualifiers (LCQs), with two months separating these events from the Championship.

Excitement Abounds as ALGS Continues Its Thrilling Journey

Please note that these dates have not yet been officially confirmed by ALGS organizers; however, it is intriguing how closely they align with previous tournament timelines. While EA quickly removed any mention of specific dates for the Championship in their blog post after the leak, it’s hard to dismiss these alleged dates as mere placeholders. Fans eagerly await official confirmation and look forward to the upcoming Split Two Playoffs scheduled from July 13th to July 16th.

In addition to the tournament updates, EA also introduced the Positive Player Award. This prestigious accolade aims to acknowledge a player who exemplifies good sportsmanship by treating opponents with fairness and generosity during international tournaments. Rachel Franklin, Senior Vice President of EA’s Positive Play division, expressed her excitement for this award: “At EA, we want to shift our focus towards players who embody positive play values, and the Positive Player Award is an excellent way for us to do that. We are thrilled to recognize and celebrate Apex Legends players who go above and beyond in creating a welcoming, safe, and enjoyable community.”

From July 5thto July 17th,a two-week window will be open for ALGS players and coaches alike to nominate any active competitor they believe best embodies the core values of the EA Positive Player Award while participating in ALGS events. Afterward,a special panel will review all nominations before narrowing them down between three and ten finalists on August10.The public voting phase will then commence until August28 when votes will be counted, andthe deserving winner will finally be revealed during theALGS Championship event.
