Jess Breach displayed her exceptional skills by adding a spectacular sixth try for Saracens. However, Trailfinders didn’t back down and fought back with two tries from Abby Dow along with another score from Sydney Gregson.

The final blow came when Sophie de Goede crossed over for an electrifying try and successfully converted it to seal a comprehensive victory for the three-time champions.

Gloucester-Hartpury Clinch First Women’s Slater Cup Title

Astonishing fans with their remarkable performance, Gloucester-Hartpury soared to claim their maiden Women’s Slater Cup title after overpowering Leicester Tigers by an emphatic scoreline of 52-14.

Right from the start, the defending champions displayed their dominance by crossing the try line six times in the first half alone. Georgia Brock, Kelly Taylor, El Perry, and Sarah Beckett were instrumental in securing a bonus point for Gloucester-Hartpury within just 16 minutes of play.

Emma Sing’s flawless kicking skills were on full display as she converted all six tries during this dominant first half performance. She also contributed with a try of her own after converting Mia Venner’s opening score. In the second half, Venner scored again to complete her brace while Neve Jones became another scorer for Gloucester-Hartpury.

Leicester Tigers mounted a late comeback with Tess Feury scoring on her first start and Meg Jones successfully converting it. However, it was not enough to overturn Gloucester-Hartpury’s commanding lead.

Sale Sharks Secure Thrilling Victory over Harlequins

In an enthralling encounter at Corpacq Stadium, Sale Sharks held on to secure an impressive 35-31 victory over Harlequins.

The match kicked off with Vicky A Irwin capitalizing on Beatrice Rigoni’s chip and opening the scoring for Sale Sharks. Jade Konkel quickly responded with a try for Harlequins after being set up by Ellie Kildunne.

Momentum swung back and forth throughout the game as Morwenna Talling powered over for Sale Sharks only to be countered by Abbie Fleming’s driving maul try for Harlequins. Rigoni continued to make an impact as she intercepted a pass and sprinted from halfway to extend Sale Shark’s lead once again.

The second half began with Aseza Hele scoring her first try for Harlequins but Sale Sharks remained resilient, responding with a try from a driving maul. Talling scored her second try to further extend the hosts’ advantage, but Harlequins fought back with tries from Izzy Mayhew and Babalwa Latsha.

Despite the late surge from Harlequins, Sale Sharks held their ground on a bitterly cold night at Heywood Road, securing a famous victory.
