Italy Prop Marco Riccioni Signs Two-Year Extension with Saracens
Saracens have secured Italy prop Marco Riccioni for the next two years, following a successful season. The 25-year-old has made an impressive 30 appearances in the current season, which will end against Sale at Twickenham on Saturday.
Riccioni joined Saracens from Benetton Rugby in 2021 but unfortunately missed most of last season due to injury after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament.
The Italian international has been capped 21 times and is expected to participate in this autumn’s World Cup squad. Saracen’s director of rugby Mark McCall stated that “Marco has had an outstanding season and at only 25 years old has an incredible future ahead of him.”
This announcement comes as good news for fans who can’t wait to see Riccioni perform again next year.
