“USA to Host 32-Team Club World Cup in 2025: A Major Boost for Global Football Fans”

Club World Cup to Feature 32 Teams in the USA – A Pinnacle for Elite Men’s Club Football

In a recent announcement, FIFA has confirmed that an expanded Club World Cup featuring thirty-two men’s teams will take place in the United States of America in 2025. This competition is set to be “the pinnacle” of elite men’s club football, according to FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

The tournament is expected to include twelve European clubs, including the past three Champions League winners: Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester City. Although dates are yet to be released officially by FIFA, it is anticipated that this event will occur during June of 2025.

Alongside Canada and Mexico as co-hosts, the USA will also host the 2026 World Cup. While The European Club Association supports these plans wholeheartedly; not everyone shares their enthusiasm since some groups like The World Leagues Forum have expressed concern over what they view as a “unilateral” decision on behalf of football’s world governing body regarding adding this new event into its calendar.

Fans can anticipate exciting play from top-performing clubs worldwide with this upcoming thirty-second edition following closely behind Saudi Arabia hosting the twentieth installment later in December 2023. In Morocco last February where Real Madrid won last time out was one such location among others like Brazil or Japan and Qatar before them!
