Black Ops 7 Zombies Camo Grind Streamlined
Treyarch has restructured the camouflage progression in Black Ops 7 Zombies with a three-tier system that reduces the overall grind compared to its predecessor. Players start with nine Military Camos per weapon, each unlocked sequentially through specific challenges that culminate in a 1,000-kill requirement for the final tier, halving the 2,000-kill threshold from Black Ops 6.
Special and Mastery Tiers Add Depth
After completing the Military set, each weapon offers three Special Camo challenges that can be tackled in any order, with requirements tailored to the gun’s intended playstyle. Finishing all twelve challenges unlocks the Mastery track for that weapon, leading to the Infestation camo which now activates automatically once players reach the previous Mastery tier on thirty different firearms, eliminating the need for individual final challenges per gun.
Unlike previous iterations where the ultimate cosmetic demanded a unique grind for every weapon, this return to classic Black Ops progression means the Infestation skin becomes available across the arsenal once the thirty-weapon milestone is hit. Military and Special Camos remain usable in any mode once earned, while Mastery variants stay locked to their respective weapons.
The adjusted structure reflects a deliberate shift toward accessibility without removing long-term goals, giving completionists a clear path through weapon-specific objectives while reducing the repetitive kill counts that defined earlier grinds.
