ESIC Suspends PTime Players Amid Integrity Probe
The Esports Integrity Commission issued provisional suspensions to midlaner Oswaldo “DarkMago” Herrera and coach Juan “Vintage” Angulo of the Peruvian squad PTime on Tuesday, July 14, as part of an ongoing integrity investigation at the Dota 2 Esports World Cup 2026.
Both individuals were barred immediately from participating in the tournament and all ESIC member competitions, with the commission citing a preliminary assessment of suspected breaches of its Anti-Corruption Code and Player Code of Conduct.
PTime Removed From Tournament
The Esports Foundation confirmed on July 15 that PTime had been removed from the competition because the interim measures left the team unable to meet eligibility requirements, forcing a forfeit of their Survival Stage match against Vici Gaming.
Vici Gaming advanced to face 1w Team in the second round, where four winners will qualify for the playoffs, while ESIC emphasized that no final determination of guilt has been made and declined to disclose specific reasons for the suspensions.
