Riot suspends Ardiis for discriminatory language on co-stream
VALORANT Esports EMEA has disciplined Ardis “ardiis” Svarenieks after he used discriminatory and offensive language during a VCT co-stream in July 2026. The league’s official statement confirmed the Latvian-British former pro, known for his time with FunPlus Phoenix and Natus Vincere, violated Riot Games’ Terms of Service. Riot emphasized it does not tolerate conduct targeting any protected characteristic, including race, ethnicity, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, religion, or nationality.
NAVI VALORANT followed Riot’s ruling with an immediate suspension of its cooperation with Ardiis. The organization explicitly labeled the behavior “discriminatory conduct or language of any kind” that “should never be tolerated,” stating it respects and fully supports Riot’s decision. The move cuts off Ardiis from official NAVI support, promotions, and contracted co-streaming rights tied to his branded streamer status.
Month-long ban leaves door open for return
VCT EMEA confirmed the suspension runs through August 19, during which Ardiis cannot run watch parties using the tournament feed. The league warned that any future violations may result in additional disciplinary action, up to and including permanent loss of co-stream rights. Because the penalty is temporary rather than permanent, Ardiis could resume co-streaming once the period ends, provided Riot re-authorizes his rights and NAVI chooses to restore its partnership.
