Arc Continues to Receive Ongoing Enhancements

Aidan O’Brien to Supplement St Leger Hero for Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe

In a surprising turn of events, renowned trainer Aidan O’Brien has announced his intentions to supplement his St Leger hero Continuous for the upcoming Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe. The talented three-year-old, son of Heart’s Cry, initially struggled in the beginning of the season with three consecutive defeats.

However, Continuous has demonstrated remarkable improvement during the latter half of the campaign by securing impressive victories in both the Great Voltigeur at York and Doncaster’s prestigious final Classic race.

To everyone’s astonishment, Continuous did not hold an entry in the Arc. Nevertheless, O’Brien hinted at supplementing him for a hefty cost of €120,000 right after his triumphant performance at Doncaster. Now, it seems that Ballydoyle handler is preparing to add him to the field on Wednesday.

“It’s all about Continuous I’d say,” stated O’Brien when asked about his plans for Arc while present at Curragh on Sunday. “Everything looks good with him at the moment and if it stays positive until Wednesday, he’ll probably be supplemented based on discussions with my team.”

Determined and versatile as ever; fast or heavy ground doesn’t trouble this exceptional young talent – he excels regardless of conditions due to his ability showcased across various terrains throughout races.

O’Brien also confirmed that Continuous would be his sole runner in this year’s highly anticipated Arc event. However, the trainer will be well represented in the supporting races at ParisLongchamp.

He continued, “Emily Dickinson will gracefully compete in Cadran. Unquestionable, who had an unfortunate incident during one of the recent races when he reared up in the stalls, will make his presence felt in the two-year-old race over seven furlongs – Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere. Additionally, Opera Singer has been primed for success and is set to shine brightly at the fillies’ race – Prix Marcel Boussac.”

Furthermore, O’Brien revealed that Jackie Oh would take part in the Prix de l’Opera after a commendable second-place finish behind Lumiere Rock in her previous outing under Joseph’s guidance.

“Our talented contender Kyprios won’t participate this time due to unfavorable track conditions; it would be too swift for him. We’ll give him ample time and aim for a comeback at Ascot,” said O’Brien with unwavering determination.
