Training a National Hunt horse is no easy feat, but Nicky Henderson has found himself in awe of Constitution Hill’s astonishingly relaxed demeanor. Known for his laid-back nature, this magnificent racehorse conserves energy like no other.

Henderson considers Constitution Hill one of his most powerful assets, and rightfully so. While he may appear unassuming on the gallops, he truly comes alive on the track. His past two seasons have been flawless, with three wins as a novice and an impressive four victories last year.

The journey begins once again at Newcastle’s Betmgm Fighting Fifth Hurdle this season – the same route that proved successful before. As Henderson commented during his visit to Newbury on Tuesday morning, “Constitution Hill is fine. He’s peacefully dozing away in his box. All set for Newcastle.”

While the news about Constitution Hill is promising, unfortunately Champ faces a setback on his path to success. Initially targeted for Newbury’s Long Distance Hurdle next week, Champ will miss out due to a trapped epiglottis.

Henderson shared the disappointing news stating, “One who is currently put on hold is Champ; he won’t be ready for Newbury.”
