The daughter of Frankel has achieved an enviable feat by securing Group One victories at two, three, and four years old. Her most recent triumph came in defending her Prix Jacques le Marois title in scintillating fashion during the summer. Following that impressive victory in Deauville, she continued her winning streak with ease when carrying Frankie Dettori to a commanding win in Newmarket’s Sun Chariot Stakes.

Having opted out of the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes due to unfavorable ground conditions on British Champions Day at Ascot, Inspiral has now been given clearance for her first taste of action in America. Chris Richardson, managing director of owners Cheveley Park Stud, expressed excitement about this new endeavor: “It’s all systems go and we’re all very excited. John Gosden seems very happy with her. So as long as there are no setbacks, we’re looking forward to next weekend.”

Inspiral will be stepping beyond a mile distance for the first time in her career when she lines up in the Maker’s Mark Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf event. Buoyed by her dominant Sun Chariot success on the Rowley Mile, connections believe Santa Anita is the perfect venue to test the filly’s stamina reserves.

Richardson elaborated: “The way she finished at Newmarket, she wasn’t stopping and she was well clear in the Sun Chariot. I think that gave us reason to believe that the slightly longer distance on a sharper track at Santa Anita would suit her perhaps. It’s unknown territory for her, but depending on how the race unfolds, we trust that she will see it through. This will open up more options for us in terms of future plans if she stays in training and continues to excel over longer distances.”
