Martin: If I haven’t demonstrated my value to Ducati in MotoGP yet, there’s no chance I ever will

The Valencia Grand Prix Finale: A Thrilling Battle and Unexpected Outcome

In an exhilarating showdown at the Valencia Grand Prix on Sunday, the Pramac rider entered the race with hopes of closing the 14-point gap between him and Francesco Bagnaia. However, his dreams were shattered when he crashed out while dueling with Marc Marquez on lap six. This unfortunate incident handed the championship to Bagnaia, who went on to claim victory.

Prior to this grand prix, rumors circulated that Ducati would promote Jorge Martin to their factory team if he became champion. Although it now seems unlikely for Martin, he believes that he has already proven his worth for such an opportunity. If Ducati hasn’t recognized his potential by now, it’s unlikely they ever will.

“I don’t think so,” Martin replied when asked about a possible move to the factory team next year. “I’m content where I am. Even if I had won today, a promotion wouldn’t make sense because being in the best team means you are already in the best place.”

Expressing his confidence in his current team, Martin acknowledges that surpassing their expectations would be challenging:

“Sincerely speaking, if I haven’t shown my full potential yet for them to consider me as part of their top-tier lineup… I don’t believe it will ever happen,” said Martin thoughtfully. “In light of finishing second in this final race despite our efforts and accomplishments throughout the season… even if they hadn’t placed me there before this event… chances are they never intended to include me anyway.”
