Military Parade on the Verge of Making a Long-Awaited Comeback

Military March on the Comeback Trail

Three years ago, Military March narrowly missed out on victory in the 2000 Guineas, finishing in fourth place behind Kameko. Since then, he has only made one appearance on the track. However, trainer Saeed bin Suroor is determined to get him back on track and aims to target bigger races if all goes well.

Bin Suroor has a couple of options in mind for Military March’s return. One possibility is sending him to Dubai where he last raced in January 2021. Alternatively, he mentioned the Bahrain International Trophy as another potential opportunity in November.

Speaking about Military March’s progress, Bin Suroor said: “He had a solid workout on Monday and seems to be getting back into form now. He still needs some more time, but we’re optimistic.”

The plan is to find a suitable race for Military March early next month before considering more significant challenges. If his form continues to improve and he proves himself capable enough, taking part in the Bahrain International Trophy could be an exciting option.

Bin Suroor expressed his disappointment at not being able to run Military March frequently over the past few years but remains positive about his prospects moving forward: “He’s a talented horse with great potential. We had plans for him that unfortunately fell through due to various circumstances.”

In conclusion, Bin Suroor stated confidently: “However, now that he’s making a comeback and showing promising signs of improvement again, I couldn’t be happier with his progress.”
