Tuesday’s Test in Valencia: A True First Test of the Season

In a test run that marked the true first test of the 2024 season in Valencia, Fabio Quartararo from Yamaha Factory Racing ended up in twelfth place, trailing behind Aprilia’s Maverick Vinales who led the way. Previously, Yamaha’s prototype for this season received mixed reviews due to its engine performance at Misano back in September.

Quartararo Disappointed with Lackluster Performance but Happy with Extra Testing Role

Although disappointed by his team’s latest offering, Quartararo expressed his appreciation for being given the opportunity to take part in additional testing sessions during winter and throughout the season. He admitted that he had expected more improvements from Tuesday’s test session. However, as a focused racer aiming for victories, he is willing to put in extra effort and make use of these opportunities to develop their bike further.
