The stage is set for an epic showdown at the upcoming Yorkshire Oaks on Thursday as Savethelastdance and Bluestocking, who finished first and second in the Irish Oaks, are poised to clash once again. The previous encounter between these two fillies at the Curragh was a nail-biter, with just half a length separating them.

Aidan O’Brien’s Savethelastdance emerged victorious in that thrilling race, avenging her second-place finish to Soul Sister in the Epsom Oaks. O’Brien also has three other talented fillies – Warm Heart, Lambada, and Red Riding Hood – still vying for glory in this prestigious event.

Meanwhile, John and Thady Gosden have yet to confirm whether Soul Sister will participate or not. Instead of relying solely on their star filly, they have chosen to pin their hopes on Free Wind. Another intriguing entry is Roger Varian’s Al Husn, who could be taking a leap into uncharted territory by stepping up to 12 furlongs for the first time after winning the Nassau Stakes.
