Trueshan’s Dominance in Prix du Cadran: A Longchamp Race Review

Trueshan Gallops to Peerless Victory in Qatar Prix du Cadran

In a mesmerizing display of stamina and skill, Trueshan triumphed under the impressive guidance of jockey Hollie Doyle in the esteemed Qatar Prix du Cadran at ParisLongchamp.

The Alan King-trained Trueshan had previously clinched this marathon contest by defeating Stradivarius in 2021. With a winning comeback after a break in the Doncaster Cup, he entered this year’s race as one of the top contenders. Sent off as the favorite at odds of 6-5, Trueshan took command from the start and held onto his lead throughout, leaving Frankie Dettori and Emily Dickinson trailing behind.

When asked for an extra burst of speed in the home straight, Trueshan effortlessly accelerated past his rivals to secure a resounding victory over Moon Wolf and Run For Oscar.

“I had a busy morning at home,” commented trainer Alan King who couldn’t make it to Paris but expressed his delight with the win. “We thought there wouldn’t be much pace in the race so we decided to let him bowl along in front. He was more settled than before thanks to some adjustments we made.”

King further added that they had struggled with Trueshan earlier this year but a minor wind operation proved beneficial and helped him regain top form.

A Fourth Consecutive Triumph Awaits At Ascot

This remarkable victory has set Trueshan on course for his next challenge – a bid for a fourth consecutive victory in the prestigious Qipco British Champions Long Distance Cup at Ascot on October 21.

“The good thing is we have a fresh horse for the backend of the season,” King revealed. “Our plan is to go back to Ascot in three weeks’ time and win that race once again.”

He also mentioned considering an entry in the Prix Royal-Oak as a backup option, but their primary focus remains on their return to Ascot.

    Hollie Doyle: The Masterful Partnership

Jockey Hollie Doyle has now partnered with Trueshan for an impressive tally of 10 victories. Despite some lackluster performances earlier this year, she believes Trueshan is now reaching his peak form.

“He’s a special horse and all credit to everyone involved,” exclaimed Doyle. “I was worried about the ground conditions initially, but he found his rhythm perfectly. It’s extra special because my dad had never seen me ride a Group One winner before.”

A Thrilling Experience for Part-Owner Andrew Gemmell

Part-owner Andrew Gemmell expressed his sheer delight after witnessing Trueshan’s triumph once again. He highlighted how well Hollie Doyle gets along with the talented steed and commended her exceptional riding skills.

Gemmell said, “Hollie is truly remarkable! Winning this race twice under uncertain ground conditions is brilliant. Let’s hope Trueshan can make it four wins at Ascot; that would be truly historic!”

    The Journey Continues

As Trueshan moves forward towards future challenges, racing enthusiasts eagerly await another thrilling showdown at Ascot where he aims to etch his name further into racing history. With a fresh horse and a stellar jockey-trainer partnership, the possibilities seem endless for this extraordinary duo.
