US Open Fan Ejected After Alleged Hitler Phrase Incident

A dramatic incident occurred during the US Open tennis tournament when a fan was forcibly removed from Arthur Ashe Stadium on Tuesday following accusations by German player Alexander Zverev. The explosive situation unfolded as Zverev claimed that the accused spectator had uttered “the most famous Hitler phrase there is in this world.”

Zverev, seeded twelfth in the tournament, halted play during his match against Jannik Sinner after hearing a remark from an unidentified individual among the spectators. Outraged by what he heard, Zverev approached chair umpire James Keothavong to express his deep dismay.

“This is unacceptable. This is unbelievable,” Zverev fumed, directing his frustration towards the umpire.

Responding swiftly to the situation, Keothavong turned around and called on the spectator responsible for the alleged phrase to step forward. Despite this plea, no one came forward to identify themselves. The umpire then took a moment to remind all fans in attendance of their obligation to maintain fairness and respect towards both players involved.

Moments later, security personnel entered the court area with assistance from other spectators in order to pinpoint and apprehend the offender. Eventually, they successfully located and escorted him out of the stadium premises.

A spokesperson from US Tennis Association issued a statement confirming that “a disparaging remark was directed towards Zverev” and assured that appropriate action had been taken by identifying and removing the fan responsible for it.

The match between Zverev and Sinner continued following this incident, with Zverev eventually prevailing against his Italian opponent after a grueling five-hour battle. He emerged victorious with a final scoreline of 6-4, 3-6, 6-2, 4-6, 6-3. It was an intense display of endurance and skill .

Zverev’s win sets up an intriguing quarter-final clash against defending champion Carlos Alcaraz in what promises to be yet another thrilling encounter at this year’s US Open tournament.”
