Lancashire tie down in-form Stanley through 2028
Mitch Stanley has signed a new two-year contract that keeps the fast bowler at Lancashire until the end of the 2028 season. The 25-year-old has become a regular in the side this year after injury problems limited him following his move from Worcestershire before the 2024 season.
Stanley has taken 15 wickets in four Championship games in 2025 and holds the division’s best match figures this year with 11-180, recorded in September. He also claimed a personal best 4-30 in Lancashire’s T20 Blast win over Yorkshire at Emirates Old Trafford.
“I feel like my game has developed a lot, but there’s still plenty more to come, and I’m looking forward to continuing that journey and helping Lancashire achieve success over the next two years and beyond,” Stanley told the club’s website.
Stanley has played for England Lions and remains on an England Development Contract with the ECB. The same deal covers Leicestershire’s Josh Hull, Hampshire’s Sonny Baker, and Surrey’s Tom Lawes.
